Clinical Governance

High quality, safe and effective health service delivery is a priority for RFDS. The core responsibility of the Clinical Governance team is to ensure the foundations are in place for the optimal delivery of health care services across the organisation. To achieve this, health service delivery must be underpinned by the appropriate professional standards; training and development; and clinical governance. Key focus areas for the Clinical Governance team include:

  • Clinical leadership and support
  • Patient safety frameworks and strategy
  • Clinical governance
  • Health information management and clinical information systems
  • Health service research
  • Working planning, clinical training and development

Marketing and Fundraising

Our marketing and fundraising team are an integral part of the RFDS organisation. The team continues to perform at a high level to help assist our organisations funding thus, allowing the RFDS to continue providing the quality of service it does to all Queenslanders. The marketing and fundraising team reach out to all community supporters across the State, from an ever generous group of individual donors, bequestors, corporate supporters, community fundraisers and auxiliary support groups. The ongoing support of these individuals and organisations has been so valuable to the RFDS.

 

People and Corporate Services

The People and Corporate Services department adds value to the RFDS by leading our people strategy development and corporate services functions.  We provide highest quality support services to our employees through strategic, advisory, business partnering and transactional support teams.  This ensures that our employees can provide great services to patients, clients, stakeholders and the community.  The team is very diverse, specialising in areas of recruitment and selection for the Queensland section, employee engagement, workplace health and safety, the wellness program, information record keeping, learning and development, volunteers and project management. Quality and Risk

Our Quality & Risk department provides an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity, which is designed to add value and improve strategic and operational output throughout the RFDS organisation. It assists the RFDS Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC), Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leaders to accomplish their objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes.

Finance

The finance team take responsibility for organising the financial and accounting affairs across Queensland, including the preparation, management and presentation of appropriate accounts, and the most importantly provision of key financial information for all Managers.
The main areas covered by the finance section at the Corporate Office includes: budgeting, reporting internally and externally, procurement, investing and financial management. The finance team are based in the Corporate Office and are a team of seven.

 

Information and Communication Technology

The ICT team is a new team consisting of three senior IT managers with expertise in Infrastructure, Systems and Applications, Process Management, and Execute Business Management. We work on providing the business the connectivity/tools/systems/applications to provide the best possible health care in the most cost effective and efficient way possible. To achieve this, we work with the business, our outsourced partners, and preferred/selected cloud partners.
