Volunteers at the RFDS are both a vital and valuable part of our organisation, and we are fortunate that we are able to attract and retain so many helpers across Queensland.
Our volunteers work on all sorts of important activities and projects- some of them exciting and some of them perhaps not so much, but they are all important tasks and all the work done by our volunteers is very much appreciated!
Being a very high-profile organisation, we are approached by hundreds of people wanting to volunteer their time and energy – that is a position that most organsiations would absolutely envy, and so we consider ourselves to be very fortunate!
We try to engage with as many volunteers as possible throughout the State, but due to the high interest and intake of volunteers we sometimes just don’t have any more tasks or projects available. Please do not feel discouraged or unappreciated if we can’t offer you an opportunity to help – we love the fact that so many people want to be part of our team!
So please register your interest in becoming a Volunteer with RFDS, but please note that if we don’t get back to you in a timely manner it’s not because we don’t value your interest. It is purely that we are lucky enough to have a full compliment of willing helpers!
Please note we cannot accept volunteers to assist with activities related to patient care.
